Solutions 21 is pleased to announce the promotion of Vice President of Consulting Services Rob Salome to the position of chief operating officer, effective January 4, 2021.

“The pandemic has been a tremendous challenge for our clients, but we managed to grow our own organization while helping them succeed,” President Buddy Hobart said, noting that Solutions 21 joined the ranks of the Inc. 5000 in August 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic. “I know Solutions 21 will thrive under Rob’s leadership.”

Salome’s military career and 27 years of leadership experience — almost entirely with Millennials — bring a unique perspective on what it takes to adapt to the information age, and he’s not one to shy away from challenging situations.

Salome has served in critical roles at the highest levels of government: as a military aide to then-Vice President Joe Biden, as the director of the Commander’s Initiatives Group in the Army’s Forces Command, and as garrison commander of Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Salome, a decorated U.S. Army combat veteran, is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a BA in mechanical engineering. He holds a master’s degree in management and administration from Central Michigan University and a master’s degree in strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College.

Solutions 21 deploys its elite team to mid-market firms across all industries to ensure they have the tools to strategically develop the next generation of leaders. Solutions 21 has offices in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Nashville, Tennessee; Kansas City, Kansas; and Phoenix, Arizona. Solutions 21 founder Buddy Hobart has authored six books, including the recently released The Leadership Decade: A Playbook for an Extraordinary Era.
